2010 Boucles de Spa video

Fabulous excuse to feature a video of noisy sideways naturally aspirated rear wheel drive rallycars - i.e exactly the kind of cars that spectators who bother to attend rallies want to watch. Not 4wd 1.6 fart sounding turbo lumps if you know what I mean....as in the future of rallying...

Results are meaningless on these old events - as the competitors are primarily there to have fun. However the event was actually won by Bruno Thiry in a 4wd turbo car(!) an old school Quattro Group B car BUT the highlights of the video shows the efforts of a few old stagers such as Messrs Vatanen and Waldegard in an Ascona and BDA Escort still have the talent.

Also check the efforts of the guy of the barge like Merc 450 SLC - entertaining!

Imagine if the efforts of Loeb, Hirvonen etc were actually in cars you were interested in watching - as in they went sideways/sounded great - what the bodyshell looks like is irrelevant - Joe Public can buy NOTHING like a Citroen C4 anyway - yeah I know the new DS3 is supposed to address that - but we know it all marketing bollocks - just like a front Focus RS has **** all to do with a Focus WRC.
